Troy Marshall

Managing Director / Chief Operations Officer

Troy commenced his career in airline maintenance in the early 90’s training as an Engineer with Flight West Airlines in Brisbane. Progressing to major airlines and MROs in the Pacific, Asia, Australia and the Middle East, Troy holds multiple NAA Part 66 Licences with ratings on types from most of the major manufactures. He also holds Instructor qualifications from Trinity College, Dublin and Airbus Training Center, Toulouse, all of which he complements with additional qualifications and experience in Safety & Quality.

 

Troy has participated in several green field operations and projects that were looking to drive improvement and efficiencies, starting with QANTAS Engineering Hangar 3 in Brisbane, 2004. In 2009 he joined Etihad Technical in Abu Dhabi to establish the Technical Training Department and proceeded to develop the Trainee Engineer Program, aligning both EASA and CASA based basic courses with the GCAA competencies qualifying new Emirati and International trainees for their initial licences.

 

2017 saw Troy join Pacific Air Express as their Engineering Manager and a member of the AOC start-up team, guiding implementation of the technical departments. Once achieved, he took up the role of Post Holder for their Part 145. During the pandemic Troy and his team were instrumental in achieving PAE’s first inhouse base maintenance check on their B757F, working closely with CASA to keep the airline flying in support of the national freight effort.

Founding ECO MRO in 2021 to provide ‘Sustainable Aircraft Maintenance Solutions’ for clients looking to integrate efficiencies into their operations. Troy and his team of experienced aviation professionals to date have provided solutions to their clients in multiple countries worldwide.

Being passionate about efficient operations and the environment has led Troy to see our industry as a closed loop ecosystem were working together to find the most sustainable solutions for our individual operations is the goal.

Always looking to challenge himself Troy is currently undertaking an EMBA with QUT, Brisbane.
